Our subscription-based Explain Everything Whiteboard runs on IOS/Android/Chrome and in a browser on any computer. This app includes all authoring, recording, sharing and collaborating options.
Explain Everything Basics is a one-off version without cloud features (group projects or cloud sharing) and is limited to iPads only. Learn more
Are there differences in functionality between platforms?
Minor, but yes. Explain Everything works best on tablet devices making full use of pen input. This makes iOS, Android and Chrome the platforms of choice.
On desktop computers, Explain Everything works within a browser (that is, in online mode only) with a few simplifications listed in this article.
Can I turn off tracking?
Yes. We collect statistics to improve our product, but you can switch this off to meet compliance requirements.

Does everyone need an account to watch my videos or join a collaboration?
No, users with no accounts can watch videos and will still be able to collaborate. However, there is one limitation: at least one person with an account needs to be in the project for them to join. In other words, they won’t be able to work independently.
If I use Explain Everything solo, how can I deploy to my group?

How can I cancel renewals for an Explain Everything subscription? What happens to my content when I cancel?
In order to cancel renewals for a subscription purchased on our website, please follow these steps.
If you have purchased a subscription on the App Store, please use the method detailed here.
After cancelation, you will have 30 days to download any content exceeding the Free Plan cloud storage limitation of up to 500 MB. After 30 days, we will archive any projects exceeding the Free Plan cloud space, but they will become available again if you restore your subscription.
