Is the app COPPA, FERPA, or GDPR compliant?

Promethean complies with the GDPR for the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries. Explain Everything Service is not currently certified by any FTC-approved COPPA safe harbor programs. For more information please visit the FTC’s COPPA Compliance FAQ. Promethean is not an educational agency or a school official under the Family Educational Right to Privacy Act (FERPA) and, therefore, is not subject to FERPA. If the school complies with FERPA and uses Explain Everything Services, it can be reassured EE works entirely in accordance with FERPA regulations.

What are the required steps for data take-out?

Explain Everything users who seek access, or who seek to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data, should direct their query to . If requested to remove data, we will respond within 7 days and remove your data within 60 days from all of our systems.

Who is user data or usage data shared with?

We guarantee that all your personal information is protected through our compliance with GDPR standards and any related restrictions protecting access to user data. Please find more details under our Privacy Policy together with a full list of third parties that we disclose personal data to and who act as our subprocessors.

Where is user data stored?

Data is stored in the secured AWS SOC2 certified data center in North Virginia.
