Artists in Residence – Matt Witham

This Fall, we’ve invited New York City-based artists, illustrators, and animators to be Explain Everything Artists-in-Residence. They visit our NYC office and invite us into their creative process, using our tools for the very first time. Our October Artist in Residence was Matt Witham who can be found at www.getwithamnow.com and http://getwithamart.tumblr.com/.

Here is what Matt had to say:
Using ‘Explain Everything’s record feature, I was able to create stop-motion animations. The timeline feature allowed me to adjust the animation frames and create quality 2D animation tests. I was really amazed that I was able to do this! This is also a great tool for animators to create quick storyboards and even record the timing to make a rough animatic for their projects. This would be a handy app to have while traveling to test out any ideas right away. I definitely recommend trying this app out!
