Explain Everything 2.40 update

By in News .

The new update of Explain Everything – 2.40 is now available in the App Store! This update brings major improvements – you can now edit recordings via the timeline in a similar way as in a video editor. The drawing tool is more fluid and you can switch on the wrist guard. We added support for another Bluetooth stylus – Adonit JOT. These changes are also reflected in the update to Explain Everything Compressor for Mac.

Track Editing – with this feature you can change any part of your recording. By tapping and holding on the video or audio track in the timeline, you can split and delete parts of tracks – just like in a video editor. Check the updated tutorial for additional information on this change here.

Wrist guard – this is a movable layer that you can rest your wrist on without the risk of an unwanted touch input. You can turn it on in the Preferences -> General menu. For the best performance we recommend turning Multitasking Gestures OFF on your iPad: General -> Preferences -> Multitasking Gestures

Drawing in Retina resolution – the drawing tool is smoother and uses the full resolution of the Retina display

“New Slide” button – it has been moved from the vertical toolbar to the Slide Sorter. There’s a short animation indicating when a new slide is added.

Auto Backups for your projects – Explain Everything now auto-saves your projects to a special backup folder in the project screen.

New iWork 2013 (Pages/Keynote/Numbers) format integration – You can now import iWork 2013 files from emails or ZIP files.

Chinese (Traditional) translation – Traditional Chinese is the 15th language localization that we support!
